Dolly Gonzales (center) of Cañon City Middle School met with members of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church's Mission Team, Charlene Coulson (left) and Marty Waite (right), to collect items of food for the school's "Project Hope" program. Eligible students are sent home with backpacks filled with food to help feed the students and their families over the weekend. The congregation was able to donate 20 large boxes of food Items requested for the program along with $30. A sampling of the items collected is shown.
