Ministries

In addition to the ministries we support on a regular basis like Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp,
Loaves and Fishes and Mercy Today Ministries, each year we choose a local, state or national,
and international ministry to support with our prayers, our labor, and our treasure. In 2022 we
are supporting Orchard of Hope in Cañon City, Wholly Kicks in Aurora, CO, and Jesús de Los
Milagros, a Lutheran congregation in Israel, Guatemala.

River Watch is a statewide volunteer water quality-monitoring program in partnership with River Science, a non-profit, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Shepherd of the Hills along with Canon City High School, has the opportunity to connect and volunteer in education and monitoring water of the Arkansas River in our community and provide support to River Science.

We are teaming up with the Orphan Grain Train to make and ship hygiene kits to Eastern Europe. The Orphan Grain Train is a Christian volunteer network that ships donated food, clothing ,medicine, and other needed items around the world. These kits contain basic cleanliness needs for people in this war torn area/or for victims or families in need around the world.

Camperships

Give a life changing gift. We are sending 19 youth to Rainbow Trail this summer. Support the Shepherd of the Hills Campership fund so every child that wants that wants to go to camp can go to camp.
